Exploring how words
play with pictures

If there is a theme to my assortment of picture books, it’s that there is no theme.

Some of them are driven by human characters. Others by animals. One is a sequel to a famous poem. Another is quite philosphical.

You’ll find a 4-book series on the seasons. A photo essay on the big city. And a math book disguised as a building snowstorm.

I’m always experimenting with different ways to tell stories. That’s part of the fun of being a children’s author. Sometimes my experiments work. Other times they don’t. But I’ve found there is no end to the ways that words and pictures can be combined.

So I’ll continue to explore them. And share the ones that succeed with you.
